San Diego, Tx- The Coastal Bend College Women's and Men's basketball coaches hosted a three day camp at San Diego High School this past week. This marks the second year in a row that CBC has organized a youth basketball clinic in rural South Texas.
The campers received a mixture of basketball skills that they can take with them and utilize on their own. The camp provides skills but also insight on work habits and highly concentrated repetitions on little details, such as footwork and decision making. The participants definitely improved each day and by the last day skills were being done at a higher level than the first.
Head Women's Basketball Coach, Nathan Purswell added: "When we go work these camps as coaches it never feels like a job or work. This year that was especially true the campers developed their talents in the week and did it with enthusiasm, passion, and smiles on their faces. It really was such a pleasant experience and brought so much joy to me to see those kids show up and work that dedicated for those days."
