Coastal Bend College Director of Athletics Paul Cantrell and Head Baseball Coach Brian Bauerle announced today the hiring of Ryan Benitez as the CBC's new Assistant Baseball (Pitching) Coach. 

Benitez joins the Cougars after serving as a volunteer assistant with Texas Lutheran University.  Prior to TLU, Benitez worked as an assistant coach for Texas A & M Kingsville for two season. Benítez was a member of the Javelinas' pitching staff from 2012-2015.  Texas A & M -Kingsville captured Lone Star Conference titles in 2013 (Tournament Championship) , 2014 and 2015 (Regular Season Championships).  Benitez received All-Conference honors and a Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week award during the 2015 season in his role as a right-handed, starting pitcher.  He received his Bachelor's degree from Kingsville in July.
