For the second time in his career, and the first time this season, Marco Becerril has been named the NJCAA Division III National Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore from Spring, Texas was a 2018 First-Team, NJCAA Division III All-American for the Cougars last season, and started the 2019 season in classic form. Becerril held the #6 Brookhaven College Bears to no earned runs, scattering four hits, while striking out six batters, and walking one in a complete game, 7-inning run-rule victory for the Cougars to start the season.
