2 Cougars Selected to TX/NM Junior College All-Star Game

Beeville, Tx-      Coastal Bend College Sophomores, Ronnie Bailey Jr., and Nolan Cox have been chosen amongst the junior college baseball coaches in the states of Texas and New Mexico to participate in the Texas and New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game. The All-Star Game will take place at Crutcher Scott Field on the Abilene Christian University campus.

The top junior college baseball student athletes from Texas and New Mexico will play on Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th for All-Star Weekend. This is a great opportunity for all student athletes to be noticed by coaches and scouts from universities across the country.

CBC Catcher and Designated Hitter, Ronnie Bailey Jr participated in 50 games during his freshman season. Bailey averaged .256 at the dish while recording 32 hits on year, seven of which were Doubles and another four went yard for a Home Run. The Georgetown native produced 24 RBI's for the 2019 campaign.

Left Handed Pitcher, Nolan Cox appeared on the mound 12 times in his first season with Coastal Bend. Cox pitched 49 complete innings and struck out 34 batters. The Dayton product won three games while posting a 5.14 ERA for CBC.

The Cougars will be playing on Friday at 6:15 PM and Saturday at 11:00 AM at Crutcher Scott Field.
