Cox and Bailey Jr Perform Well at All-Star Game

Abilene, Tx-  On Saturday, September 28th, The Texas New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game was played in Abilene, Tx.‬ Both Nolan Cox and Ronnie Bailey Jr were selected to play on the Region XIV South Team. Cox and Bailey Jr represented Coastal Bend College very well over the weekend.

CBC Left Handed Pitcher, Cox pitched one inning, making it a quick and efficient outing. He went three up, three down, retiring the side in order with 9 pitches. Cox also recorded one strike out, 0 runs, no hits for his performance.‬ The Dayton native had a few words to share on his experience form the All-Star weekend: "The all star game was a great experience and it was an honor to be chosen for this. All of the hard work from the previous season paid off and I met a lot of new people. Ronnie and I made the best of it and we had a successful day on the field. I'm looking forward to the spring season."

CBC Catcher, ‪ Bailey Jr caught well behind the plate, doing so for four innings. He went two for three at the dish, hitting two singles while also scoring a run.‬ Here is what Bailey Jr had to say about the All-Star weekend in Abilene: "It was a really cool experience being able to play with guys all around the state and some that will end up getting drafted. The games went really well, I was able to catch for some really good pitchers. I felt like Nolan and I represented CBC Baseball in a very positive way."

Region XIV South lost to Region V West late, 8-9 in a close game at Crutcher Scott Field on the Abilene Christian University Campus.
