Beeville, Tx- Region 14 head baseball coaches revealed their All-Conference and All-Regions Teams. Coastal Bend College, Freshman, Harold Laracuente was named to the All-Conference Second Team. Laracuente hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico. From the day he stepped on Joe Hunter Field with a golden belt, he made his presence known and truly played inspirational with his game, adding some flare and confidence.
This spring, Laracuente saw action in the Middle infield and Centerfield for the Cougars. Also in this spring, the Puerto Rican native collected 35 hits in 109 at bats during conference play. Along with his 12 RBI's and 21 runs scored, Laracuente manage to stay in the top of the Cougar lineup for the entire season. He maintained a batting average of .321 during conference with five doubles and 17 walks drawn during his first season in navy and columbia.
Head Coach Ryan Benitez on Laracuente being named All-Conference Second Team: "Harold has brought a lot of versatility to our lineup. He's been huge aspect of the Cougars this year, whether its on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. As a freshman he has proven to this conference that he can be a high caliber player. We are excited to see what's in store for Harold in his next year as a sophomore"
The Cougar freshman has also excelled in the classroom, previously being named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List. Laracuente is expected to be a key contributor again, for next season.
