Dallas, Tx- During the Thanksgiving Holiday break, Coastal Bend Men's Basketball traveled up to North Texas for a bout with the Mountain View College Lions. The basketball game between both ball clubs on Wednesday, November 27th would be a non-conference contest.
To begin the game, the Cougars and Lions both took their fair share of scoring on one another. CBC held a slight advantage as the halftime buzzer rang; 46-41.
In the second half of the contest, again Coastal Bend and Mountain View continued to duke it out. As the game reached the final stages, the Lions held a six point lead, but careless play on their part and tough defense from the Cougars brought them back into the lead. Once CBC regained the lead, they ended up clinging to a four point victory to beat MVC, 85-81.
CBC Center, Elijah Moleon fell two rebounds shy of a double-double. Moleon finished the game by recording 18 points, eight rebounds, along with one steal and one blocked shot. Emmanuel White produced 18 points for the Cougars and also fell two rebounds short of a double-double. Point Guard, Lance-Amir Paul tallied 16 points along with nine assists, four rebounds, and four steals for Coastal Bend. Guard, Kendrick Christian provided 11 points off the bench for the Cougars and also had three rebounds and four assists during his time on the court.
