Beeville, Tx-  After falling to Kilgore earlier in the week, CBC Men's Basketball looked to bounce back versus Region XIV foe, Paris Junior College. The Cougars would have that opportunity on Saturday, December 7th against the Dragons. 

The first half of the ball game came and went as both teams took turns sharing the lead. CBC held a six point difference at intermission to lead PJC, 56-50. Coastal Bend's, Desmond McNiel hit four consecutive three pointers to provide a boost from the bench in the first half of play. 

During the second half of the contest, Coastal Bend tried creating some distance from Paris, but the Dragons did not back down. The Cougars were ahead for most of the second half, but shots did not fall CBC. Instead, PJC took advantage of the missed opportunities from the Cougars.

The Dragons continued to make shots and free throws down the stretch, putting the game out of reach for Coastal Bend as time ran out. CBC ended up falling to PJC, 91-97.

Coastal Bend currently holds a 5-7 record overall and is 0-3 in Region XIV Conference play. The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, December 14th as they host Strength N Motion at 12:00 PM in the Peter S. Marecek Physical Fitness Center.
