Coastal Bend College Guard, Desmond McNiel recently signed his Letter of Intent to continue his education and playing career with Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Tx. The Whitewright native becomes the third Cougar from the men's basketball program to pen a commitment to a four year program.

McNiel was a key contributor for the Cougars this past season averaging 11.1 points off the bench in 19 games due to a wrist injury. The marksmen shot 36.9% from long range and 40% from the field this season while also recording 2.4 rebounds a game for CBC.

McNiel will be majoring in Business Administration during his tenure at Jarvis Christian.
