Beeville, Tx- On Friday, August 30th the Coastal Bend Soccer Program honored one of own, in Justaes Richards who recently lost his battle with cancer this past May.
Hailing from Vienna, Austria, and donning the number 17 jersey for CBC Soccer, Justaes was a member of the 2018-19 Men's Soccer team. Richards played with great drive, enthusiasm and heart…traits that he carried off the pitch as well. He was a leader amongst his peers and held a promising career ahead of him. In 2018, only 5 games into season Richards was stricken with injury which led him back the U.K.
Richards memorial tree has been planted in the front woods of the field entrance so he will always be remembered and embedded in the spirit of Coastal Bend College.
It was only fitting that Coastal Bend's season and conference opener versus Laredo Community College was a victory with a 1-0 win to honor his legacy
