Cougar Soccer sends Six to Four Year Schools

Beeville, Tx- Coastal Bend College Men's Soccer Program will be sending off six Student Athletes to further their education and soccer playing career at the four year level. These six Cougars produced a combined record of 14-17-3 that helped the team advance to postseason Region XIV play in both seasons.

CBC Outside Midfielder and Team Captain, Julian Colchado will be attending Ottwa University in Kansas. OU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). Colchado competed in 31 games for CBC, scoring four goals and one assist. The soon to be Brave also scored three Game Winning Goals during his tenure for the Cougars.

Fellow teammate and CBC Midfielder, Lucas Paixao will be heading to South Dakota this Fall. Paixao has signed his Letter of Intent with Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota. SDWU is a member of the NAIA which competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). The Brazilian native was a key member for the Cougars as he competed in a total of 26 matches in his two year stint with CBC. Paixao scored three goals and recorded two assists for Coastal Bend. 

CBC Outside Midfielder, Emile Rudd has recently signed his letter of intent and will be heading to Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. The Eagles compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III level for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). Rudd competed in 16 matches for the Cougars. The England native scored three goals for CBC, this past season. 

CBC Midfielder, Max Voelker has also recently penned his letter of intent to Benedictine University as well. The London, England native will join Rudd to become teammates, once again. Voelker competed in nine matches for Coastal Bend. 

Reis Planson a CBC Red-shirt Freshman, will be heading to Randall University, in Oklahoma City. The Saints are a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and compete in the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA). Planson is from London, England and will be majoring in Kinesiology. 

Joao Lobo Dos Santos a Center Defensive Midfielder for Coastal Bend has signed for Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. The Badgers compete at the NCAA Division II level and is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. SPC is also an affiliate member of the Gulf South Conference (GSC) for Men's Soccer. Dos Santos played in 11 games for the Cougars.
