Charlotte, NC- The NJCAA National Office announced Wednesday the Men's Soccer Players of the Week for all matches played during Week 8 (October 4 - 10) with Sophomore Goalkeeper, Ryan Walsh-Rowe being named as NJCAA Division I National Goalie of the Week. Walsh-Rowe led the Cougars with 5 saves in 5 shots on goal against Jacksonville College (3-0) and Blinn College (1-0).
Head coach Stephen Cummins said, "It is a well-deserved honor for the player. I believe Ryan is a tremendous talent who has had an outstanding season. He is also an outstanding student as well for us!"
Cummins went on to say, "Ryan is not only great on the field, but a leader off it. His character and demeanor are something we cherish here at CBC. Having conceded the fewest goals in CBC history up to this point, we've no doubt he'll go on to bigger and better things at a solid university next year."
Walsh-Rowe and company will be back in action for their home finale and final regular season contest of the season on Tuesday, October 24th as the Cougars host Texas Southmost at Cougar Field at 1:00 PM.
