Beeville, TX-   The Coastal Bend College men's soccer team embarked on a daunting eight game 2024 Spring Friendly season that featured NCAA six 4-year colleges and universities, two NCAA Division I, two NCAA Division II and two from the NAIA Level. The Cougars went 5-2-1 this Spring. The Cougars squad included 10 freshmen from the 2023 fall season matched with seven new transfers this spring.

Led by a solid defensive display and a goalkeeper who has never let them down, the team's ability to keep opponents at bay was a testament to their discipline and teamwork. Offensively, the team proved to be equally impressive, finding the back of the net on 11 occasions. Their attacking prowess, characterized by creativity and precision, kept opposing defenses on their toes, showcasing the depth of talent within the squad.

The Cougars are determined to build on their successes in the seasons to come, continuing to strive for greatness on and off the field. CBC head coach Stephen Cummins gave his perspective on this past Spring saying, "We planned a very tough spring season on purpose for a couple of reasons. One is to showcase the lads to the next level and give them exposure. The other is to get prepared for the fall. With a decent bunch of lads coming back in August, we want to surpass what we did this past fall. We feel with the freshman coming in, and the lads returning that we'll be right there again." Next Fall the Cougars will open the 2024 campaign with four games on the road before returning to the comforts of home with 3 games to start August before Region 14 play begins.
