The Coastal Bend College softball team will be participating in the Region XIV Championship Tournament this weekend in Port Arthur, Texas as hosted by Lamar State University - Port Arthur. The Cougars are the fourth seed in the south and will kick-off their championship quest with a first-round match-up with the East's top seed, #5 ranked Tyler Junior College on Friday at 3:00 pm. If the Cougars win this game, they will play the winner of the Trinity Valley vs. Blinn College game on Saturday at 3:00 pm. With a loss on Friday, the Cougars will be back in action on Saturday morning at 10:00 am vs. the loser of that same Trinity Valley vs. Blinn contest.
