TSJC got on the board early after CBC committed an error, and Grant singled, each scoring one run in the first inning.

Coastal flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on seven hits to take a 7-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Ashley Gaitan that drove in three.

Sophia Garza started in the circle for CBC. Garza gave up seven hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking one.

Kelsey Perez and Briannah Mejias each collected two hits for the Cougars. Gaitan led CBC with three runs batted in and going 1-for-3 on the day.
