11/29 Tyler Junior College
The Coastal Bend Cougars took a crushing loss on the road to Tyler Junior College 83-50 Thursday. CBC started of the contest commiting six turnovers in their first nine possessions; setting the tone for a long tough afternoon. The "Coogs" struggled offensively especially layups and found themselves down by 24 points at the half. The second half was more of the same, as CBC was never able to put a run together; eventually falling by a final score of 83-50.
Hadiya Norman led the Cougars offensively dropping in 13 points. Aryanna Brown led the team in rebounding collecting 10 misses, including seven defensive rebounds.
12/2 Kilgore College
On Saturday, December 2nd, Coastal Bend Basketball fell to the Lady Rangers of Kilgore. With both Darias Whittington and Samantha Atkinson-Roach scoring 17 a piece, the valent efforts of the Cougars were not enough to beat the strong and fast Lady Rangers. The Cougs out shot Kilgore in the second half with seven 3's to KC's two and outscored the home team 12 points. Despite the effort it still wasn't enough to cover for the deficit from the first half.
Kilgore's strong rebound game that played a big role in ball possession. The Lady Rangers corralled 42 rebounds to Coastal's 34. Although CBC outshot the Rangers from the 3-point line, 50% to 26%, it simply wasn't enough with the final score showing 83-71.
