Brenham, Tx-  On Wednesday, January 9th, the Coastal Bend women's basketball program traveled to Brenham, Tx to face Blinn College for a Region XIV Conference game. The Cougars looked to bounce back after their previous road trip to Louisiana the week before as they dropped two tough games to LSU-Eunice. 

In the first quarter, the Cougars fell behind 18-14. The second quarter would see more scoring but the CBC would still be down by four points as Blinn took a 35-31 lead at the break.

Blinn took 55-50 lead after three quarters of play. In the forth quarter, Coastal Bend strung together came back to tie the contest at the end of regulation. Blinn regained the momentum in overtime, scoring 18 points to CBC's 15 points with the final score being in favor of the Bucs, 87-84. 

CBC Guard, Jada Mitchell lead the Cougars in scoring with 23 points while collecting six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Guard, Cassie Hogan netted 15 points for CBC along with four rebounds. Aubrey Guerra added 11 points to the scorebook and had three helpers for the game.

Coastal Bend's next game will be at Home against Panola College on Saturday, January 12th at 2:00 PM.
