Beeville, Tx- On Wednesday, January 23rd, The Coastal Bend College Women's Basketball team hosted Paris Junior College for a Region XIV Conference game. The Cougars have been in search for their first conference win win since December 8th when they beat Jacksonville College on the road.

The first quarter of play started out well for both ball clubs, but PJC took a two point lead heading into the second quarter. During the second quarter of play, CBC's Cassie Hogan carried the load to help put the Cougars up by four points at intermission, 44-40. Hogan hit two three pointers, two buckets in the paint and two nicely dished assists in the span of three minutes of game play. 

Coastal Bend built a nine point lead early in to the third quarter, but quickly saw it disappear as the Dragons three point shooting took over. The forth quarter of play started off well for CBC as they played tough-nosed defense and made some much need buckets to get back into the game. The final minutes of play went back and forth, as PJC would hold the lead for one possession and Coastal Bend would tie it right back up.
