Coastal Bend College women's basketball defeated the San Antonio Rangers for the second time this season on Monday evening. The first matchup happened November 1st in San Antonio where the cougars finished the game 80-39. In the rematch February 13th, the cougars went into halftime with a two-point lead. After a solid team effort in the second half the cougars ended the game with a total score of 94- 68. The cougars made 12 threes as a team for the third time this season making 40% of their attempts.
Sophomore point guard, Shayla DeDe, led the team in scoring with 17 points including going 50% from 3-PT, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Other key scorers for the night:
Jordan Shepard with 13 points and 2 rebounds
Ja'Nyla Kennedy with 11 points and 6 rebounds
Keely Burks with 10 points and 7 rebounds
