Beeville, TX- Sophomore Outside Hitter, Odalys Gonzalez has been named to the 2nd Team Region XIV All-Conference for the third consecutive year. Gonzalez joined CBC from Hanna High School in Brownsville, TX. As Freshman led the team in Points, Kills, Kill Per Set, Hitting Percentage. In her sophomore season, Gonzalez again led the team in Kills, Kills Per Game, and Points Scored and Points Per Game.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, Gonzalez was granted the opportunity to return for a third season. For her final season with the Cougars, she again led the team in Gonzalez competed in 31 matches, leading the Cougars in kills, kills per game, the points in points per game. She was also second on the team in digs.
She became the first player in CBC history to record over 500 kills and 500 digs in a career. Gonzalez leaves as the all-time leader in Kills at CBC with 966. She is currently mulling over offers to continue her academic and playing career at the four-year level.
