CBC Infielder Fredy Romero Named to Texas-New Mexico JC All-Star Game

Dallas, TX- Coastal Bend College Baseball is proud to announce that infielder Fredy Romero has been selected to participate in the Texas-New Mexico Junior College Baseball Coaches Association (TXNMJCBCBA) All-Star Game, scheduled for September 19–20, 2025, at Dallas Baptist University.

Originally from Nicaragua and now a native of Houston, Texas, Romero is a graduate of Milby High School, where he developed into a talented student-athlete before joining the CBC Cougars.

Romero delivered a standout freshman campaign during the 2024 season, earning Second Team All-Conference honors in Region 14. Over the course of 50 games, he posted a .287 batting average, hit 2 home runs, drove in 28 RBIs, and swiped 12 stolen bases.

On the defensive side, Romero proved to be a dependable infielder, finishing with a .948 fielding percentage across 134 total chances, including 79 putouts, 48 assists, and 9 double plays.

Now entering his sophomore year, Romero is looking to build on his early success and is honored to represent Coastal Bend College on the All-Star stage. His selection highlights not only his performance on the field but also his dedication and work ethic.
