Adam Butler enters his first season as Coastal Bend College Head Coach after three seasons at Southwestern Christian University as the assistant coach. From 2016-2018 Butler assisted SCU in winning three NCCAA national championships and made three sooner SAC tournament appearances. All while coaching three athletes to become an NCCAA player of the year and two NAIA All Americans. He has spent the last two summers as an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Imps of the UPSL. He also has coached club soccer at Oklahoma Celtic for the last 3 years.

Butler spent his playing career at Southwestern Christian University from 2012-2015. During his career he was a 2x first-team all-Sooner Athletic Conference player and became SCU’s first NAIA all-American in 2015. Butler helped lead the Eagles to an NCCAA Central Region Tournament championship in 2014 and the SAC Tournament finals in 2015. SCU reached the NCCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championships in both seasons, reaching the semifinals in 2015. Also making over 40 appearances in the Premier Developmental League (PDL) for the Vermont Voltage, Laredo Heat SC and Mississippi Brilla.

Adam Butler holds a B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Sports Management and M.A. in Leadership both from Southwestern Christian University
