On the strength of the Cougars road, doubleheader sweep over then #4 Brookhaven; CBC jumps four spots to the sixth position in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll.  Brookhaven slides four spots down to the eighth position.  CBC sits behind the only other Texas school in the poll in Eastfield, whom the Cougars will not play this season, unless they meet in the NJCAA District Championship Tournament later in May.

The Cougars main focus this week is preparing for the first part of their Region XIV showdown versus the defending Division III National Champions in Tyler Junior College.  CBC will play three games in Tyler starting Friday at 1:00 pm, followed by Saturday's 6:30 pm start and Sunday's 1:00 pm match-up.  The Apaches will travel to Beeville for the second part of the series on May 3rd, 4th and 5th.  The winner of this series is likely to be the District Tournament's top seed later in May.  All of three games versus TJC will be livestreamed via our website.
