Beeville, TX- The Cougars wrap up the 2020-2021 academic year with 24 student-athletes representing all six sports being recognized as members of the NJCAA All-Academic Teams for their performance in the classroom. Led by four student athletes as repeat selections Charlie Din (Soccer) maintained First-Team Selection status. Justin Gomez (Baseball) moved up to the First-Team from last year's Third-Team selection, while Donal Rahill (Soccer) moved up to the First-Team from last year's Second-Team selection. Meadow Rodriguez (Volleyball) repeats as a Third-Team honoree.
Dating back to the 2018-2019 academic year, the Cougars have been recognized 71 times for their success in the classroom. A student-athlete must have above a 3.60 Grade Point Average to earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors. The student-athlete must have completed two full-time semesters or three full-time quarters of college work. They also must have participated in at least one season at the varsity level at the college from which he/she is nominated.
