" Garza expressed.

Garza states, "It is truly an honor to be named the athletic director of Coastal Bend College. This position has been a dream of mine for quite sometime now..  I've seen this department grow in many areas over the year, but it is always impressive to witness our student-athletes graduate and transfer to the university level. The support system in my profession, with my family and friends is great and has definitely assisted me to be in the position I am now. Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and I look forward to the continued support."

Moving forward as the Athletic Director, Garza, wants to expand the institutions program by its engaging and involving the surrounding communities, counties and service areas which include Beeville, Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton. Garza adds, "Working alongside the community of Beeville, has been great, but we're looking to further our relations and build more camaraderie with the citizens in Beeville, and the area. That being said, we invite, encourage everyone to come support our fellow athletic programs. Our student-athletes face stellar competition in Region XIV, excel in the classroom and on the playing surface and would very much appreciate some cougar pride in the stands."
