Beeville, TX-  Coastal Bend College baseball student-athlete, Canon Chester, has been selected to play in the Texas-New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game. The event will have games to be played on the weekend of September 22nd -23rd at Dallas Baptist University.

 

Sophomore Student-Athletes from all National Junior College Athletic Association Divisions were selected for the southwest area All-Star weekend.

Chester competed in 49 games for the Cougars during the 2023 campaign. The Sinton, TX native primarily plays third base and has seen action as a designated hitter for CBC. Chester posted a batting average of .268 for his freshman season and hit five home runs and recorded 25 RBIs well also crossing the plate 24 times. 

 

The sophomore is expected to be a key returner for the Cougars this upcoming spring. Game time for the Region 5 West versus Region 14 South will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23rd at Horner Ballpark.
