CBC Esports Team Advances to Round Two of National Postseason Tournament

Beeville, TX-  The Coastal Bend College Esports Team, Coastal Bend 24 COD WZ-NAVY, is making a strong impression in the National Postseason Tournament, showcasing perseverance and skill. The team, consisting of Seth SalazarJuan MartinezNick Villanueva, and Carl Elmore, continues to make their mark in the competitive world of LeagueOS in the college ranks. After a dominant performance in the first round, the team is moving forward to the Central Zone 1 Finals with hopes of reaching the National Finals.

In a familiar matchup, COD WZ-NAVY faced off against LCCC in the first round of the tournament. The team wasted no time, demonstrating their strength and teamwork as they secured a 3-0 victory. This impressive win not only advanced them to the next stage but also set the tone for the rest of the postseason. The victory was especially significant as it earned the team a chance to compete for a spot in the National Finals, with the next test being the Central Zone 1 Finals on December 6, 2024.

Unfortunately, in the highly anticipated Central Zone 1 Finals, the team encountered Barton COD WZ PS and fell short, losing 3-0. Despite this setback, the team's performance throughout the round robin tournament kept them in the running. Thanks to their strong showing in the postseason, the Cougars still secured a spot in the National Postseason as the 6th seed from Central Zone 1.

Looking ahead, Coastal Bend 24 COD WZ-NAVY is gearing up for a challenging matchup against Carl Alberts (CASC COD WZ PS) on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 8:30 PM. The team will be looking to bounce back and continue their journey in the National Postseason Tournament, hoping to make an impact on the national stage.
