For the third consecutive year, the Coastal Bend College baseball team has qualified for post-season play and the NJCAA Division III District C Tournament to be played May 17-20th.  The Tournament is being held at Graham Baseball Field, Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano.   The winner of District C Tournament will earn their way into the NJCAA Division III World Series to be played May 26-30/31st at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee.

District C includes the best Division III baseball teams from NJCAA Region II (one team - North Arkansas), Region VI (six teams) and Region XIV (two teams - Coastal Bend and Tyler).  Though unranked in the final NCAA Division III poll, Tyler Junior College is the top seed in the tournament.  Brookhaven College who is ranked 8th in the final poll is the second seed, while Eastfield College - the Cougars first-round opponent - Thursday, May 17, 9:00 am - is the tournament's third seed and is the highest ranked team in the tournament at 5th. 

In the other bracket, Northlake College and Richland College face-off with the opportunity to play Tyler in the second round.   If the Cougars advance on Thursday morning, they will return to the field Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm to play Brookhaven.  CBC swept Brookhaven in a doubleheader held in Dallas back on April 9th 5-0 and 7-1.
