CBC Baseball's road to the NJCAA Division III World Series hit a speed bump yesterday morning with a 9-1 loss to #5 Eastfield College.  The loss dropped the Cougars to the Contenders Bracket of the District C Championship Tournament in Plano, where they had to take on North Lake College, who won their first game vs. Richland, before losing to Tyler Junior College last evening.  The elimination game at "high noon" did not start until nearly 1:00 pm, and the game took nearly four hours to complete as the Cougars splipped past North Lake 6-5.

The Cougars will be back on the field at approximately 8:00 pm to face Richland.  That game can be watched by click HERE.  A win and the Cougars advance to take on the loser between #8 Brookhaven vs. the tournaments top seed Tyler Junior College who play at 5:00 pm today.  A loss will end the Cougars 2018 campaign.
