Coastal Bend College, Right Handed Pitcher, Isaiah Rodriguez has recently been added to the Texas/New Mexico Junior College All Star Game. Rodriguez joins four of his teammates; Preston Allen, Ryan Davenport, Cobe Reeves and Ian Sexton for the Juco Fall Classic.
Rodriguez made 14 appearances on the mound for the Cougars during their historical 2021 World Series run. The Corpus Christi native pitched just over 24 innings for Coastal Bend, recording one win and one save in relief outings.
A integral piece out of the bullpen, "Ray Ray" (as he's known to his coaches and teammates) entered numerous games as a reliever for CBC. He was able to get the Cougars out of tough situations whenever his named was called. Rodriguez is change of pace pitcher, as he's able to get hitters out with fly balls and ground outs.
Head Coach Brian Bauerle on Rodriguez, "I'm glad Ray Ray was able to make the All Star Game. He's a great, hard working kid who always gives his all. Proud to have him on the team and looking forward to seeing him compete on the mound. This will be a great experience for him and his teammates."
All five student athletes will be in action this Friday, September 24th at 3:30 PM and Saturday the 25th at 11:00 AM at Dallas Baptist University- Horner Ballpark.
