Andrew Cohen joined the Coastal Bend College baseball program has the lead assistant coach in July of 2023. He will primarily work as the Pitching Coach among other staffing duties. Cohen Played baseball at Monroe township High school.  Cohen has playing experience on three different collegiate levels (D2,D3, NJCAA). During his 2 years at Gloucester County college he was a 2014 all conference member, 2015 Region Pitcher of the year ,2015 Garden state athletic conference Player of the year, also  Pitched in 2015 NJCAA World Series.

Following Andrew Played 1 season at Saint Leo University (Florida) followed by  1 season at Rowan University where he was an all NJAC player. Following college, Andrew  played 3 seasons of professional baseball in different independent leagues across the United States , and Canada. Andrew also played winter ball in Puerto Rico’s AA league.

His coaching career started in 2019, at Saint Thomas Aquinas high school in 2019,  then the head JV coach at Monroe Township High School (NJ). In the fall of 2021 he made the jump to the collegiate level at Usciences as the assistant/ pitching coach. In the programs final season he improved team ERA from 9.87 to a 6.90 and helped accumulate the most wins in school history.

From there he went to Eastern New Mexico University as a Graduate Assistant Coach. He began a masters program in sports administration.During his one year he developed the  2023 NCAA D2 National freshman of the year (Jonatan Clough). Participated in the most Lone Star Conference wins in program history, and helped lead  the greyhounds  back to playoffs for the first time in 14 years.
