Beeville, Tx- For their third home game of the season, Coastal Bend Men's Basketball hosted Concordia University JV on Friday, November 8th.
The Tornados came into town looking to disrupt the Cougars 2-0 home record. Not to be intimidated, the Cougars stood their ground against the visiting foes from Austin.
For the majority of the first half, Coastal Bend held the lead. Concordia kept the game within reach, despite being down at halftime, 38-55.
In the second half of the game, the Cougars made adjustments and turned up their play on defensive side of the court. The Cougars quickly turned turnovers into buckets to bust the game wide open. Coastal Bend ended up running away with the victory to beat Concordia, 113-85.
CBC Center, Elijah Moleon had a game high 22 points to go with his nine rebounds, five steals, three blocks and two assists. Emmanuel White netted 21 points while recording four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block. Forward, Eric Conner penciled in a double-double for CBC. Conner scored 20 points to go with his 13 rebounds and three steals. Jonathan Mcghee swished in 11 points and grabbed eight boards while dishing out five assists. Big man, Donovan Deal provided 12 points and four rebounds for CBC. Guard, Maurice Taylor came up with nine points off the bench, going 3-6 from beyond the arc. Taylor also collected four assists and five rebounds.
