The Cougars started the season with bang with an impressive win over the OLLU Saints JV developmental team 101-77, as 6 players topped double figures. Newcomer Keagan Moncreif lead the Cougars with 18 points. Sophomores Caleb Hill, Sam Esan and Trey Swayzer added 14. Jeremiah Anderson chipped in with 13 while Reyce Allen had 12 points.
The Cougars assisted on 28 of their 43 baskets as their unselfish play set the tone early and often. Key defensive stops late in the game helped seal the deal against a tough OLLU team.
The Cougars will travel to Dallas to play Mountainview College on Friday.
