Cougar Soccer Player Battling Cancer

Cougar Soccer Player Battling Cancer

Justaes Richards career with the CBC soccer program was all too brief, as he appeared in eight contest for Cougars this past fall.  The freshman from England started four games and netted one goal,  scoring two points in a win over Jacksonville College on September 7th.

Now the 6'2" midfielder is fighting a much tougher opponent back in England, as he fights stage four Metastatic Epithelioid Haemangio Endothelioma, or Sarcoma.  Richards fought breathing problems during his time in Beeville that was originally believed to be sports induced asthma as he adjusted to allergens in South Texas.  When his health continued to decline during October, he made the decision to return to England for a specialist diagnosis.  That diagnosis brought grim news.

Richards underwent an aggressive round of Chemotherapy on January 18th, and is scheduled for another soon. His family originally from the African nation of Gahana have set up a Go Fund Me account to assist with his medical expenses.  The link for that page is - https://www.gofundme.com/6cf4vc0.

We know that everyone in the Cougar family will join us in praying for Justaes and his family during these challenging days ahead.
