Gabriel Campora Earns NJCAA D1 First Team All-American Honors

Beeville, Tx -  Coastal Bend Soccer program has been on a spree of individual recognition this week; but the the NJCAA Division I men's soccer committees' announcement today goes down as the biggest individual honor in the the program's history.  Sophomore, Forward Gabriel Campora was named First-Team All-American, becoming not just the soccer program's first All-American, but also the first scholarship athlete at Coastal Bend to garner this prestigious individual recognition. 

Campora led the Cougars in shots (54) and goals (nine), Campora's 54 shots were also tops in the NJCAA DI. The Saltillo, Mexico native's skill helped the team reach new heights as the program made a splash on the conference and national scene with their Region XIV Regular Season Championship and At-Large appearance in the Division I National Championship Tournament.   CBC Head Coach, Adam Butler on Campora's historic year, "I could not be any more proud of him. He's put in so much for this program; we would not of ended where we did without Gabo.  He deserves every bit of recognition. I know he will go on and continue to flourish throughout the remainder of his collegiate career."
