The Cougars Earn First Conference Victory Under Coach Cummins Era.

Paris, TX-   Coastal Bend College men's soccer team came out on top with a 2-0 victory over the Paris Junior College Dragons on Wednesday, September 7th.  Both of the Cougars' scores came in the second half of the match with Tyler Stallard, score leader of the team with 3 goals on the season, and Elijah Payne, second score leader of the team with 2 goals. The Cougars' moves to 2-2 on the season.

Tyler Stallard started the scoring off in the 61st minute for the goal. The goal came off a long pass by Giancarlo Pretto to Elijah Payne that quickly controlled it and finished it by forcing the goalkeeper rebound it to Tyler's feet that immediately kicked into the back of the net.

Just three minutes later, Elijah Payne scored the Cougar's second goal of the game with the assist coming from Hilal Khan, giving Khan the first assist on the season, after a great combination with Shane O'Riordan.

Coastal Bend College ended the game with 21 shots and half of them coming on goal. Coastal Bend Goalkeepers, Gian Zetzmann and Ryan Rowe totalized 8 saves combined.
