Cougars and #5 Roadrunners Tie in Lufkin
LUFKIN, TX-  The Coastal Bend College Cougars battled Angelina College to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at Roadrunners Field. Both clubs fought hard through the duration of the match that included two overtime periods. 
 
CBC took its first draw of the season, bringing their record to 2-3-1. Andre Applewaithe, a sophomore from St. Phillip, Barbados, accounted for the lone Cougar goal. Baillie Reilly was credited with the assist on the score. 
 
In the first half the Coastal Bend had a total of four shots with two coming on goal. In the second half they had six more shots with two getting saved by Angelina's goalkeeper.
 
For the match, the Cougars had ten shots which four of them were on goal. Applewaithe scored in the 65th minute. This is his first goal in the season.
 
Ryan Rowe-Walsh got the start at Goalkeeper for the Coastal Bend and only surrendered one goal for the match while recording four saves.

The Cougars will host their next matchup at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 17th against Trinity Valley Community College at Cougar Soccer field.
