Beeville, Tx–  On Saturday, September 24th at Cougar Soccer Field, Coastal Bend College and Blinn College went into two overtime periods during their Region XIV Conference Match. After competing in two, 10 minute overtime halves, the match concluded in a 2-2 tie. 

The first goal scored by the Cougars was notched by Mario Hurtado, in the minute 49th, and assisted by Ivan Perez. Mario and Ivan each had their first goal and assist of the season.

IvanPerez scored the Cougars' second goal in the 55th minute, thanks to a brilliant assist from Tyler Stallard. Perez now has two goals on the season, while Stallard recording his first assist of the season.

Coastal Bend finished the game with 12 shots, six of which were on target. Cougar Goalkeeper, Gian Zetzmann made two saves for the Cougars. CBC moves to 3-4-2 on the season while the Buccaneers hold a record of 7-3-2.

UP NEXT:  The Cougar soccer team returns to action on Saturday, October 1st. CBC will host Northeast Texas Community College with the conference match set to kickoff at 1:00 PM.
