Beeville, Tx-   On Tuesday, October 4th at Cougar Soccer Field, Coastal Bend College defeated Paris Junior College 1-0, for a Region XIV Conference. The Cougars now hold a 4-3-2 conference record, and have improved to 5-4-2 overall.

The Cougars goal was scored in the 23rd minute by Ivan Perez off a penalty kick. Ivan Perez, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, scored his third game-winning goal and fourth goal overall.

Coastal Bend College had 13 shots, five of which were on goal, while Paris Junior College had seven, three of which were on target. Gian Zetzmann, a freshman from Dortmund, Germany, made three saves in comparison to Paris' goalkeeper's four. In contrast to Paris' zero corner kicks, the Cougars had four, and both sides committed a total of 25 fouls.
