Beeville, Tx–  On Wednesday, October 12th, Angelina College defeated Coastal Bend College 1-0 in Region 14 Conference match. The Cougars suffered their fourth loss in the Region 14 Conference, snapping a four-game unbeaten streak. The Men's Soccer Team moves to 6-5-2 on season, and 5-4-2 in Conference. 

Coastal Bend College outshot Angelina College 11-7 and had a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Roadrunners' goalkeeper made four saves, while Gian Zetzmann had one. The Cougars committed eight fouls against Angelina College, who made two, and each team had one corner.

The CBC Soccer program also honored 10 Sophomores for their time, dedication and contributions to the institution and team over the past two seasons. Of the Sophomores that recieved recognition were; Defender, Andre Applewhaite, Defender, Giancarlo Laste Pretto, Midfielder, Keita Kishino, Midfielder, Kai Slinn, Forward, Ivan Perez, Midfielder, Hilal Khan, Defender, Francisco Alvarez, Defender, Jorge Orteiza, Midfielder, Elijah Payne, and Defender, Vundu Afonso. 

UP NEXT: The Coastal Bend College Men's Soccer Team returns to action next Saturday, October 15th, on the road, against Trinity Valley Community College in a conference game. The game will begin at 12:00 PM at Cardinal Soccer Field.
