Cougars Make History in Record Setting Victory Over Trinity Valley

Athens, Tx–  Coastal Bend College shut down Trinity Valley Community College (Texas) 17-1 on Saturday at Cardinal's Field. The Cougars' record is now 7-5-2 on the season, and 6-4-2 in conference.

The goals were scored by Ivan Perez, in the minute 10th, 15th, 27th, 32nd, and 49th. Ivan is, now, holding the record at Coastal Bend College for most goals in a single game. Mario Hurtado, in the minute 37th, 70th, and 85th, and Jorge Oteiza, 37th, 42nd, and 78th scored three goals each. Jardel John, in the minute 17th, Kai Slinn, in the minute 48th, Daichi Saito, in the minute 65th, Jack Bledowski, in the minute 73rd, Shane O'Riordan, in the minute 75th, and Francisco Alvarez, in the minute 80th, scored one goal each.

The CBC soccer team set multiple program records in the vicoty over the Cardinals; 17 assists for the match and largest victory in program history. Ivan Perez set a CBC program record with five goals scored for the match. Perez now has nine goals on the season. 

The assists were provided by Ivan Perez, in the minute 35th and 65th, Shay Prescod, in the minute 17th and 49th, Shane O'Riordan, in the minute 15th and 31st, Jorge Oteiza, in the minute 70th and 80th, Jack Bledowski, in the minute 75th and 85th, Mario Hurtado, in the minute 42nd, Bruno Manuel, in the minute 36th, Jardel John, in the minute 10th, Hilal Khan, in the minute 27th, Elijah Payne, in the minute 48th, and Andre Applewhaite, in the minute 73rd.

The Cougars had thirty-eight shots, twenty-nine of which were on goal, and fifteen corner kicks. The Cougars only allowed one shot on goal for the match.
