CBC Softball Off To A Hot Start

Cisco, Tx-  Coastal Bend College Softball went 4-0 in the Cisco Invitational. On Friday, February 7th, the Cougars scored 23 runs in 12 innings of play. The standouts on opening day were Avery Hearn who went 2-4 with 2 homeruns and 3 RBIs against Cisco College. Delisa Enriquez and Harley Escamilla went 2-3 with 3 RBIs combine as well. Amanda Aguirre finished the with 3.2 innings pitched 4 strike outs and the win. The final was 11-9 in 7 complete innings.

Game two against Frank Phillips College finished with the cougars on top 12-0. Again, Avery Hearn went 1-3 with a homerun and 2 RBIs. Lauryn Hernandez went 3-3 with 5 RBIs and 2 runs. Carla Arellano pitched 5 complete innings, with 6 strikeouts on only 3 hits. The ladies finished 2-0 on the day.

On Saturday, February 8th the Cougars were back in action against Cisco College, again. Lauryn Hernandez finished with 2 homeruns, 4 RBI's and 3 runs. Britney Garcia was 2-3 with a triple and a stolen base. They beat Cisco College 10-9.

In the last game of the day, CBC homered 3 different times from 3 different players. Brooklyn Balderas went 1-4 with a homerun and 3 RBI's. Avery Hearn went 2-4 with another homerun and a double. Delisa Enriquez went 4-5 with a homerun, 4 RBI's and a triple.

Coastal Bend finished 4-0 for their opening weekend. They are back in action the 14th and 15th in Seguin Texas at 2:00 and 4:00 pm on Friday.
