Beeville, TX- Coastal had trouble keeping up with Midland in a 14-1 loss on Saturday.

The Chaps jumped out to a lead in the top of the first inning after MB homered to left field, scoring three runs, Westernskow tripled, scoring three runs and an error scored on another play.

Midland scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Westernskow doubled, scoring three runs, Espinosa drew a walk, and scored two runs.

Janessa Martinez led things off in the circle for Coastal Bend College. The starting pitcher gave up 12 hits and 14 runs(10 earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking seven.

Danielle Pompa, Kelsey Perez, and Jocelynne Martinez each collected one hit for CBC.

Midland amasses 12 hits in the game. Johnson and Westernskow each collected two hits and led the Chaps with six runs batted in. The Chaps had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.
