Beeville, TX- The bottom of the lineup helped Coastal Bend capture a 7-6 victory over Cisco on Saturday. Ashley Gaitan, Jocelynne Martinez, and Kaydence Benitez combined for five of the team's nine hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in one.

A single by Staton put Cisco on the board in the bottom of the first.

Sophia Garza singled, which helped Coastal Bend tie the game at one in the top of the third.

A double by Staton gave Cisco the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the third.

CBC jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Danielle Pompa doubled, Cisco committed three errors, each scoring a run.

Sauceda hit a solo homerun to center in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Garza opened the game for the Cougars. She gave up seven hits and six runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking one. Watson started in the circle for Cisco and surrendered seven hits, six runs (three earned), striking out one, and walking two.

CBC's Benitez lead the team with three hits in four at bats, Martinez collected two hits, and Garza led the team in runs batted in with two.
