Cougar Outfielder Inks Letter of Intent with The University of Houston-Victoria

Beeville, Tx- Kelsey Perez has been the starting center-fielder for the Coastal Bend Softball team for the past two years. She has a driving passion for the game of softball and works tirelessly to achieve her goals. Kelsey provided reliable hitting stats with a career .208 BAVG, stole 11 bases, had 15 RBI's, and 3 home runs. She provided a sense of safety and reassurance for our defense. Defensively, Kelsey maintained a .939 FPCT with only 11 errors out of 163 PO.

The Victoria, Tx native always strives for perfection and excellence with everything that she does. On the field, in the batter's box, or in the classroom she will always give 110%. Kelsey has immense potential to do great things and continue to be the type of athlete that you want in your lineup or classroom.

Here's what Head Coach, Roland Salazar had to say about Perez; "Kelsey has been a part of our starting line-up for the past two years. She was able to help us either as our lead-off or in the middle of the line-up. Kelsey has been a fixture in the outfield and willing to put her body on the line at any given moment. I know that she will do great things at UHV and she will be deeply missed."

Good luck to Kelsey Perez and thank you for being a part of the CBC softball! We can't wait to hear more about your successes moving forward! GO JAGS!
