Cougars Trying To Find Rhythm On The Road

Temple, Tx-   The Coastal Bend College Women's basketball team traveled to Central Texas for a regular season matchup against Temple College on Wednesday, November 24th. The Leopards pulled away from Coastal Bend and never looked back.  The Leopards took a first quarter lead 10-25, and never looked back keeping the score doubled at 17-36.  At half Cougars found themselves in a bind 27-61.

Temple finished off the second half with 52 points to CBC's 25.  Making the final 52-113 and handing Coastal Bend it's 6th and worst loss of the young season.

"Tough two game road skid.  Missing five bodies due to sickness, two of them starters.  We try to play fast and up tempo so only having ten on back to back nights hurt us.  We have really been in every game but two this year, and had a chance but when you play fast you need healthy bodies and we have been devastated with injuries and sickness so far."

Asia Wheeler finished with 19 points and was the only double digit scorer for Coastal Bend.

Next up is a two game road trip after Thanksgiving on Friday Nov 26th to Eunice for a rematch from November 17th and then to Delgado Community College on the 27th of November.
