"This win was indicative of our fight all year. We played four ranked teams in conference very well and were scratching at the door. We were flat on Wednesday and the challenge was put in place. Total team fight and effort. Bench came in and did a great job of getting some baskets and stops. Our three-point shooters maintained confidence even though they were not falling early. This team has battled all season and they really deserves this win!!" Coach Nate says
Coastal Bend was led in scoring by Ari Gallardo with 25 points followed closely by Leslie Martinez with 24 points and Savanna Smith chipped in 9 points. Asia Wheeler had a near triple double scoring 9 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and handed out 9 assists.
Coastal Bend will try to keep it going next Wednesday when they travel to Kilgore. Game is scheduled for 5:30 a tip.
