The Region XIV Conference has formerly announced All-Conference teams for the 2021-22 women's basketball season. Following a strong display this year, Coastal Bend Guard, Savanna Smith has been named to Region XIV Honorable Mention.
Savanna Smith, Sophomore Guard from Houston, Tx finished the season 3rd in Region 14 in scoring 16.4 points per game. She also her ended her career as the Cougars All-time season points leader with 442 points and all time leader in points for a career at 816 points.
Head Coach, Nathan Purswell on Smith, "Savanna is a one of a kind kid you only get to coach here and there. She does stuff on the court with her scoring ability that makes coaching easy. She can score in a variety of ways and if she did not have to score so much for us her facilitating ability is great to. She is someone that when it's all said and done will be a top person I've coached not only because of on the court but how amazing she is off the court as well!"
The Fort Bend Travis alum played in an average of of 31 minutes per game while competing in Cougar Blue. She competed in 50 games for Coastal Bend, starting in 48 of those games. During her two year stint with CBC, Smith was named Honorable Mention both seasons.
