Claire Hiler is entering her first season as Head Coach of the Coastal Bend College Cougars. She accepted the position in late June of 2024, and officially started in early July. 

 

Head Volleyball Coach, Claire Hiler on leading CBC:  "As Head Coach of the Coastal Bend College volleyball program, my goal is to bring relentless energy to any program and to help student-athletes reach their maximum potential. My background as a multi-sport athlete helped me develop a passion for athletics and an understanding of what it means to be versatile and of strong character as an athlete. Coaching the game of volleyball means not only developing physical skills and strategy but also developing individual and team character."

Hiler proceeded to say: "Helping student-athletes establish good character on and off the court is essential to not only the success of the program but the success of each individual beyond our program. Providing student-athletes the opportunity to play at the next level and compete at a high level is my passion as a coach. At CBC I want to create a competitive and welcoming culture within our program. I am excited to represent Coastal Bend College volleyball for the 2024-2025 season and looking forward to a competitive season for the Cougars."

From Wills Point, Texas, played volleyball and tennis for Wills Point High school, 3x First Team All District, 2x Volleyball MVP WPHS, 4A District 13 Newcomer of the Year (2014), 3x 4A First Team All-District (2015-2017), Volleyball 4A All-State Team Selection (Texas Sports Writers Association)(2017), 2x state team tennis medalist (2014,2017), state runner-up tennis girls doubles (2018).

Class Valedictorian WPHS

Attended Texas A&M University, graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sports Management 

Coaching career began in 2019, coaching club volleyball for 4-5 years for the Lone Star Region in 2020-2021 and North Texas Region 2021-2024.

Collegiate coaching career began 2023 at Dallas College- Richland.
